We’ve been hard at work recently preparing our centre and staff to become an alternative provision provider. We are on the Durham Council Directory for alternative provision.
We are equipped to offer a wide range of outdoor learning from the outdoor survival skills of bushcraft to the ways of the water that come with paddle sports. Pupils will be put through a range of courses such as the Paddle UK personal performance award.

Our mission
Our Mission is to ‘Create activities and encourage everyone to live life more adventurously’.
Our mission, our plans and decisions have been guided by our values which are summarised in three main groups: keep the ‘adventure’ in adventure; be socially and environmentally responsible without being preachy and do the right thing. It’s nothing overly complicated, adventure is at the heart of everything we do, and adherence to our values with every decision that we make along the way.
Accreditations
We take pride in the accreditations we hold, demonstrating our commitment to always maintaining the highest standards. Our main accreditations are:

- Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) – Shows the provider delivers high quality educational experiences.
- Adventuremark – Allows providers to demonstrate to their customers or users that the provider’s arrangements for managing the potential risks of adventure activities have been inspected and found to meet the necessary standards of good practice in the adventure activity industry.
